Protecting Brooklyn’s Future
Step one of the ULURP has been approved. *August 24th* CB7 voted to approve The Dept. of City Planning’s proposal to re-zone our community. An overflow crowd showed up at the public hearing and special Community Board meeting to show our support and voice concerns about the proposal. The Board voted to approve the plan and also to pass along concerns we would like discussed back at City Planning. Namely regarding the historic view corridor from Minerva to the Statue of Liberty and the inclusive housing component on 4th ave.

Regina Myer and Devon Reiff of City Planning present the proposal to CB7.
Next stop is the Borough President’s office for a hearing on September 22nd at 5:30pm. The hearing will be held in the first floor Community Room at 209 Joralemon St, Borough Hall. This hearing is also open to the public. We should again pack the room and show the Borough President the strength of the support the plan has from the community.
