  • November 16, 2005 – City Council. City Council Chamber, City Hall. Vote by full City Council. The Zoning proposal becomes Law and is effective immediately.
  • November 15, 2005 – City Council Land Use Committee. Chairperson City Council member Melinda Katz. Full Committee will ratify Sub-Commitee’s recommendation and pass matter on to full City Council.
  • November 14, 2005 – City Council Sub-Committee on Zoning. Chairperson, City Council member Tony Avella. Location either 250 Broadway or City Hall. Hearing to start at 9:30am. Testimony can be given by members of the public. You must register to testify at 9:00am.
  • Thursday November 10th, 7pm. Stable Brooklyn, an East Windsor Terrace group also asking for zoning protections, will be presenting their case at a public hearing of the CB7 Land Use Committee. Topic will be the 22 Canton Place ULURP. This meeting is going to be held at the International Baptist Church – Spanish Auditorium located at 312 Coney Island Ave. (Enter at school entrance on Canton Ave.) For more info.

  • Wednesday October 19. The City Planning Commission (CPC) will vote on the South Park Slope proposed re zoning ULURP. Please send the CPC and Amanda Burden (CPC Chairwoman) your letter of support for the Brooklyn office of City Planning’s proposal.
  • City Planning Commission Public Hearing for South Park Slope ULURP.
    The South Park Slope ULURP is on the lineup for the City Planning Commission (CPC) Public Hearing on Wednesday 9/28/2005 at 10 AM. The hearing will be held in Spector Hall at 22 Reade Street in Manhattan. We need another big turn out to show our concern for getting our ULURP made law without delay. There will be an opportunity for individuals to speak at the Public Hearing. If you plan on speaking it is advised that you prepare remarks before hand, you only have 2 minutes.
  • Monday 9-26, Brooklyn office City Planning to present ULURP to City Planning Commision
    The Brooklyn office of City Planning will present the South Park Slope ULURP to the City Planning Commision Monday September 26, at 1pm. This presentation is open to the public. The public will not be allowed to ask questions but you can see and hear the full plan in detail. The hearing will be held in Spector Hall at 22 Reade Street in Manhattan.
  • Community Board 7 Waterfront Festival, Saturday 9-24.
    Saturday September 24th, noon to 5pm. Location: 58th st pier. 1st Ave near the Brooklyn Army Terminal. Events include: dancers, rappers, music, clowns, pony rides, NYPD Water Rescue, NYC Transit museum old time buses and more. There will also be a presentaion of CB7′S 197-A plan for the waterfront. Come out and see the bright future of Sunset Park and the waterfront.
  • Borough President’s Public Hearing Scheduled for South Park Slope ULURP.
    The borough president’s public ULURP hearing on the City Planning Commission’s plan to rezone South Park Slope will take place Thursday, Sept. 22, 2005 at 5 p.m. in the 1st floor Community Room at Brooklyn Borough Hall. The address is 209 Joralemon Street (bet. Court and Adams Sts) in Downtown Brooklyn.
